Sound Post

    I will be using a combination of diegetic and non diegetic sounds in my film opener. I've decided to incorporate both types of sound because I think they will each further the narrative of my opening scene to the fullest. The diegetic sounds will be achieved through the original sound of each clip, this will be done the most during the drug store scene, the sounds of me walking through the aisle, the cash register ringing, sounds of pills being rattled, will serve to promote a realistic atmosphere. I will be adding to non diegetic, copyright free songs in the background on both scenes. The songs will most likely be instrumental and without actually singing, however this decision may change depending on what sounds best in the film. 

    As I have mentioned before, I will be using iMovie as an editing software for my entire opening scene. The non diegetic music will be sampled from Epidemic Sounds. These sounds are going to contrast the other, so one would be moody and a bit darker while the other is lighter and energetic. Since I am working solo on this project I will be doing the research and editing to adjust the sounds as needed.
